I brought this book for my UPSC Mathematics optional as it is being recommended by most of the upsc toppers who had taken mathematics as an optional. If someone is buying this solely for this exam then I will definitely recommend it. Speaking from upsc syllabus coverage it will cover chapters like partial differential equations, boundary value problems and laplace equations. It has lots of examples along with past year different graduation and upsc questions solved thoroughly. It is very bulk book. One can go for it.
