This is the first of four volumes that provide a thorough understanding of the principles and basic concepts of physical chemistry. Emphasis is placed on the application of the principles. This volume deals with states of matter and Ions in solution. This book is the first of the seven-volume series, which provides an extensive coverage of several topics of Physical Chemistry. Each volume includes a large number of illustrative numericals and typical problems to highlight the principles involved. IUPAC recommendations along with SI units have been incorporated in the series.
